Title: Blood of Olympus
Author: Rick Riordan
Published: October 7, 2014
Sypnosis (Goodreads):
Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen—all of them—and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood—the blood of Olympus—in order to wake.
The demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it "might" be able to stop a war between the two camps.
The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea's army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over.
So, as we ALL know that the Blood of Olympus is the last book in the Heroes of Olympus Series by Rick Riordan which, kind of, want to make me cry while reading the summary.
If you haven't read, heck, haven't heard about this series, well where have you been?
This books gives me mixed beautiful emotions (don't worry) and I'm still on the mourning period (as others call it) just because it's the end but not totally the end. Do you get my point here?
First of all, let us talk about Rick's Author's note which states:
"To my wonderful reader,
Sorry about that apology for that last cliffhanger.
I'll try to avoid cliffhangers in this book.
Well, except for maybe a few small ones . . .
because I love you guys."
We definitely do love you too, Uncle Rick :)
I just want to share to those people that still haven't read the series to watch out for this magnificent, awesome, sassy, troll Uncle Rick Riordan (I still don't know why we call him Uncle). If you do enter this fandom, dear reader, don't say I didn't warn you.
All in all, this is a very good book! I am very happy how it turned out, but Rick will always be a troll and we have to deal with it.
If you like to learn more about Greek Mythology with some modern technology and lives involved? Also, with some sweet romance in the air going on? Or great adventures up ahead?
You should definitely try this series out.
Nothing much to say because I am speechless and I totally love this book. I definitely suggest that you read the first books first before reading the last (duh.) because this will totally get your heart :)
HAPPY READING!!!
